Unfortunately, even though blueberries are low in calories and high in nutrients, their skins stain teeth substantially. So be careful with blueberry binges if you want to keep your teeth white and bright.
Beets are an acquired taste which many people never gain. If you do enjoy this root vegetable with the deep red flesh, consider the detrimental effects beets can have on your pearly whites. It’s difficult to cut and handle beet without a result of stained fingers, so you can figure out the beet pigments effects on your teeth. If you don’t want to say goodbye to beets in your diet, just take care to rinse with water immediately after consumption. Brush your teeth within an hour to beet stains at their own game.
Cranberry juice is terrific for urinary tract health. The tart berry may even hold properties which fight the germs that cause tooth decay. From a cosmetic dental perspective, though, cranberry and other dark berry juices are more harmful than helpful. The concentrated, dark tannins in berries will stain your teeth over time. To enjoy pure, dark colored berry juices without teeth extra stains, cutt the juice with water or seltzer and drink your beverage through a straw.
