Dental Bonding Quiz: True or False

  1. True or False: Dental bonding includes the gentle removal of tissue from your tooth to reshape your teeth and create a more beautiful smile.

  2. True or False: The composite (a synthetic acrylic-resin material) we use for dental bonding is bright white so it may not match your tooth but it will look real.

  3. True or False: Bonding takes several appointments but the finished result is worthwhile.

Dental Quiz Answer Key

  1. False. Just the opposite, actually. Dental bonding includes adding the illusion of more tooth tissue where you need improvement. We use a material called composite to build up tooth tissue, which may include painting a layer over problems like stains or cracks, extending the length of your tooth, filling spaces between teeth, or fixing a minor chip.

  2. False. Composite is “tooth-colored” which means we can match the shade of the composite to your surrounding tooth. Whether we are fixing or covering a problem or closing a space between two teeth so they appear to touch one another, the finished product will look beautiful and genuine.

  3. False. In addition to being prized for its budget friendliness, dental bonding is known for its efficiency as well. We will typically only need to see you for one visit to complete the bonding procedure.
